Gavin's first soccer game

Tonight was Gavin's first soccer game. He is playing on one of the under 4 teams for Prince of Peace Catholic Church. As you can imagine, the game was pretty amusing. Gavin actually did well running and kicking the ball. His team didn't quite understand how to play defense. Every time the other team took the ball, Gavin and his teammates just stood there and watched them run down the field. After the game, Gavin kept saying how much fun he had playing soccer. And he was exhausted by the time we got home.

Gavin was so excited when the assemblers came to put his swingset together. It has only been sitting in the garage since before Christmas!

8 Months Old

I'm a little late on our 8 month post. Things have been busy around here, and I haven't had much time to blog. Anyway, Addison was 8 months old the first of March. This month has brought lots of excitement to our home. Addison started crawling this month. She has also learned to pull up, so we have had to lower the crib mattress. Just this week, she learned to clap, which she likes to do often. I think we've decided her first word is "bye", since she seems to repeat it whenever she hears someone say it. She has also said "yay" while clapping. And I'm going to stand by my claim that I heard "Mama" while she was clinging to my pants leg wanting me to pick her up. Addison is such a sweet girl, and has a smile I could just eat up! Can you tell I'm one proud momma?

This is what I turn around and see every time I go to the kitchen. She crawls over to the steps and stands up. Bet it won't be long until she figures out how to get up those by herself.

Gavin visits the Fire Station

We went to visit our neighbor Mike at the fire station today. Gavin had a great time checking out all the engines and equipment the firemen use. Thanks Mike for letting us visit and showing us around.

Sweet pictures

We were riding in Gigi's car on Friday while running a few errands. The kids seats are right next to each other. Gavin reached over and took Addison's hand and held it for awhile. It was so sweet.

Sadie is such a great dog. She puts up with almost anything the kids do to her. Addison is really just beginning to be interested in what Sadie is doing. Here she was checking out her paw. We are lucky to have such a sweet puppy.
