5 months old

Baby girl turned 5 months old this month. Here is our monthly picture in the chair. Her hair was extremely stand upish on this day.

Addison is full of smiles and giggles this month. She is starting to babble and coo more. She still doesn't have much interest in rolling over. She loves to watch Gavin playing, and loves to stare at her Daddy and flirt. Of course, Mommy is still her favorite, especially since I provide the food! According to the scales at home, she weighs around 13 lbs. She is a pure delight and lights up our lives everyday.
For some reason, Addison thinks Mommy is very funny.
We decided to try to introduce solid foods this week. Here we are having a taste of some rice cereal. She didn't really care too much for it on the first try. She liked it better the next day when I added a little fruit to the mix.
I wonder if she is going to be like Gavin and stick her thumb in her mouth after every bite.

Gavin put his shoes on himself, but didn't get it quite right.

Let it Snow

Gavin enjoyed the snowfall last weekend. When I got home from work Saturday morning, he asked if he could go throw a snowball at me.
Trying to make a snow angel.
Addison ran out for a quick picture of her first snowfall.

Going to See Santa

Ready to go see Santa at the mall.
I was trying to get a picture of Addison, and she kept falling over. I thought this picture was so cute. It looks like she is playing peek-a-boo.
Sweet girl
Gavin telling Santa what he wants for Christmas. His list includes a soccer goal, soccer shoes, a new ball and checkers. Can you tell he likes soccer?

Alternative Christmas Card

Dear Santa,
Please give my brother anything he wants...he is holding me hostage until the toys arrive.
Love,
Addison

**I have to give credit to Yaya for this one. She saw this picture and created this note to Santa. I loved it, and just had to share with you all.**

O Christmas Tree

Gavin helped us decorate the Christmas tree this year. He seemed to think all the ornaments needed to go in the same spot on the tree. I don't really remember why he didn't have clothes on during the decorating process.
I love the look of concentration on his face as he is hanging this ornament.
Addison enjoying the lights on the tree.
I just love this picture. So precious.
Tried to get a picture of Gavin holding Addison. This is the best we got.
I love my babies in their Christmas pjs.

Christmas Village in Huntsville

If we are in Huntsville on the Friday after Thanksgiving, we head out to the Christmas Village to see Santa. The above picture was taken while we were waiting to see Santa. It was a little cold that night, can you tell?
Daddy and Gavin in the "snow."
Gavin was fine sitting with Santa - Addison, not so much.
Gavin the snowman.
This was the best picture we could get in the sleigh.

Excuse all the red-eye in the pictures, my editing program wasn't working tonight.

Thanksgiving Weekend

All the kiddos ready to watch the Auburn/Alabama game. Too bad they didn't do a better job of cheering on the Tigers! Oh well, we'll get them next year.
Addison sporting her Auburn gear. This was Gavin's t-shirt when he was a baby.

Daddy spotted this turkey outfit and just had to have it. I love Addison's face in this picture.

Cookies, Cupcakes and Dancing

Gavin really enjoyed Mommy's birthday cupcakes.
Helping Mommy blow out her candles.
Daddy got to celebrate Thanksgiving at school with Gavin (Mommy had to sleep). I love the hats and t-shirts Ms. Tracie helped them make for the party. Daddy had fun meeting all of Gavin's friends.
The turkey hand cookies that Gavin made. Well, really Mommy made most of them, Gavin just kept eating the M & Ms that we were using for the eyes.
Gavin's favorite part was putting sprinkles on the left over cookies.

Catching up... 4 months old

Our sweet baby girl turned 4 months old in November. We are truly blessed to have spent the last 4 months loving our Addison. She got a good report at her 4 month check-up. She weighed 12 lb 5 oz and was 23 1/4 inches long. Baby girl is petite, only charting in the 20th percent in weight and length. She has rolled over back to front once, and apparently decided that was enough for her! She loves to play on her playmat, and in enchanted with big brother Gavin. She watches him whenever he is near, and smiles when he talks to her. She is full of smiles and big (open-mouth) kisses. Mommy and Daddy are happy to say that Addison still sleeps 10-11 hours at night. She is a precious baby girl and truly a gift to our family.
