Mommy's Birthday Celebration

Gavin, Joey and Yaya helped me celebrate my 32nd birthday last week. Gavin bought me a small birthday cake that he has really enjoyed eating. He was also a great assistant in helping me blow out my candles.

My sweet baby sang Happy Birthday to me. It was precious and I just had to share it with everyone.

Big news in the Hopkins' house

Gavin is going to be a big brother!! Joey and I are very excited to be expecting baby #2. The baby is due July 5, so I guess we'll have a busy summer. We went to the doctor last week and saw the heartbeat. Besides Mommy being very tired and extremely nauseous, everything is going great. Gavin of course has no idea what is going on, but I think he will make a wonderful big brother.

Cold Sunday, Loud Papa and Yucky Apple

Daddy was doing some yard work today, and Gavin wanted to go outside as well. So we bundled up and headed out into the cold. He insisted on playing in the sandbox. Mommy did her best to keep the mittens on.

Having fun swinging.

My dad (aka Papa or "Papu") was hammering in the garage one day. Ever since, Gavin keeps talking about how Papu was loud (or youd). Also, he touched a yucky apple at Gigi and Papa house on Halloween, and can't forget about that either. It's so funny what kids get stuck in there minds sometimes.

Little Drummer Boy and Baby Jesus

Mayson sent Gavin this cool cup that has his name on it and a strap to use. When he had it around his neck, I guess that reminded him of his drum. So he put that on also and played us a tune. It was very funny. Thanks Mayson for the cool cup!

Gavin was looking at his Silent Night musical book when I told him it had Baby Jesus on it. I thought it was so sweet the way he says Baby Jesus. Children are so precious!

New pictures

I'm finally getting a chance to add some pictures from the past few weeks. Our computer was having some trouble, so I wasn't able to upload pictures.

I tried Gavin's hat and mittens on from last year to see if they would still fit. He liked them so much, that he wouldn't take them off for about 20 minutes.

Finally...

In action

We have been having computer problems around here lately. I was finally able to upload pictures from Halloween. But for some reason, it won't let me put text above the first picture. Anyway, we had a great time trick or treating Friday. We went to visit my grandmother and aunts Friday morning, and then went to Caroline's Friday night. Gavin really enjoyed wearing his monkey costume the entire day. He was asking for it when he got up Saturday. And of course he wanted to open each piece of candy right after he received it.
